Since
its creation in 1890, Tilleke & Gibbins has been servicing
clients' legal requirements in the provinces of Thailand.
Having observed an increase in clients requiring advice on
real estate and other projects in Phuket, and being aware
of the expanding commercial opportunities in the province,
Tilleke & Gibbins International Phuket Ltd. was incorporated,
and the firm opened an office there in June 2005. Mr. John
Howard is the Managing Director, supported by skilled Thai
and foreign attorneys.
The Phuket office is geared towards the
needs of the firm's existing clients, including clients who
reside or have transactions in Phuket, its overseas clients,
as well as new clients contemplating residing, acquiring property,
or doing business on the island and surrounding areas. It
is a multi-service office providing investment and legal consulting
services, and staffed by professional attorneys, counselors
and legal executives with many years of experience in property
and commercial law. The Phuket office is in turn supported
by the expertise of the attorneys and support staff as well
as the extensive range of resources from the Bangkok office.
